Chuo University, founded in 1885 and celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, is one of Japan’s leading private universities. Established originally as a law school, Chuo has built a strong reputation in legal education and continues to be recognized as one of the top institutions in this field. Its longstanding emphasis on practical, hands-on education has produced many graduates who are active in the business world.
Today, Chuo University comprises seven faculties—Law, Economics, Commerce, Science and Engineering, Letters, Policy Studies, and Global Management—and continues to cultivate leaders who contribute to both Japanese and global society.
Chuo University also has a long-standing connection with Malaysian students. In the 1990s, when the university first began welcoming international students, a large proportion were from Malaysia. Even now, many Malaysian graduates of Chuo University are using their experiences in Japan to succeed in careers at Japanese companies.
We look forward to seeing you at Chuo University!
